The Haramosh La Trek is a remote and breathtaking high-altitude journey in the Karakoram Mountains of northern Pakistan. This challenging trek connects the lush Haramosh Valley in Gilgit to the isolated Arandu village in Baltistan, crossing the Haramosh La Pass at around 4,800 meters.
Unlike more popular routes, the Haramosh La Trek offers a unique adventure for experienced trekkers, as it remains largely untouched.
Starting in the Haramosh Valley, trekkers enjoy views of terraced fields and walnut trees before ascending to Kutwal Lake, where sights of Haramosh Peak and Laila Peak await. The trek then leads into the technical challenges of the Haramosh La Glacier, requiring glacier travel skills. After crossing the pass, the scenery changes dramatically to the vast Chogo Lungma Glacier, framed by Spantik's golden walls.
The trek continues through seldom-visited valleys, reaching Arandu nestled among glacial streams and alpine meadows, serving as a base for expeditions to nearby peaks.
