Like a line drawn across ice and sky, the Minarets rise sharply from the heart of New Zealand’s Southern Alps. This climb takes you deep into the raw spine of the Main Divide, where glaciers flow toward the Tasman Sea and the mountains feel vast, quiet, and uncompromising. From the first helicopter flight over the West Coast to the final steps onto the summit ridge, every moment carries a sense of distance from the ordinary world.
Your journey begins in Wanaka, then lifts into high alpine terrain by helicopter to Centennial Hut, your base among ice and rock. Over the following days, you move slowly upward — learning the rhythm of glacier travel, crossing crevassed neve, and preparing for the final ascent. The climb itself starts before dawn, when the snow is firm and the air still. As light reaches the peaks, the route unfolds toward a narrow summit with wide, uninterrupted views across Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park.
The expedition is carefully paced and fully guided, with time built in for weather, acclimatisation, and safe decision-making. Nights are spent high in the mountains, days shaped by conditions and terrain rather than clocks. This is a climb for those who want real alpine movement, wild landscapes, and the satisfaction of earning a summit through focus and commitment. Join us and step into one of the most dramatic alpine environments in the Southern Hemisphere!
