Yala Peak is a relatively short trekking peak located in the Langtang region. Climbing Yala Peak provides an exhilarating introduction to peak climbing in the Himalayas, going beyond just trekking. The entire experience can be completed in just two weeks, making it ideal for those who want to reach a Himalayan summit but have limited time.

Our adventure begins with a drive to Syaburbesi, followed by a trek through lush forests and traditional ethnic villages. Eventually, we arrive at the stunning base camp of Yala Peak. Along the way, we observe the impact of the April 2015 earthquake in Nepal, particularly in Langtang village, which has been fully restored by the local community within a year, making it safe for travelers. We are treated to breathtaking views of several majestic mountains, including Langtang Lirung (7246m), Lenpo Gang (7083m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m), and the impressive Shishapangma (8027m) on the Tibetan side.

As a travel industry expert and co-founder of my company, I see tourism as more than just a job; it's a true passion. I hold a Business Management degree from Tribhuvan University and completed the Trek Guide Training Program in Kathmandu. With over 10 years of experience in Nepal’s travel sector, I've developed a diverse skill set that has contributed to my success. Growing up in Gorkha and later in Alkatar, a remote mountain village, I walked 8 kilometers to school daily, inspired by breathtaking views of terraced farms and the Himalayas. These experiences ignited my love for travel. I started my career in a hotel in Pokhara before co-founding our company in 2015 with three partners to provide authentic travel experiences. My commitment to my work is strong. I organize unique adventures tailored to clients and prioritize our leadership in sustainable tourism and community development. Our motto reflects my vision: delivering exceptional service while ensuring accessibility for future generations. We also create educational opportunities for our staff and support local programs. I firmly believe that with passion and ambition, we as a company can achieve great things in global tourism, famously stating, “Nothing is impossible if we dare to dream big.”

Tour provider's comments

Max Height 5550mt

The climb is non-technical, so no previous climbing experience is necessary; however, participants should have some outdoor experience and a good level of fitness.

What problems can arise on altitude ?
At high altitude your cardio-pulmonary system is affected by low oxygen density and you can suffer from general breathing difficulties to Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) as well as your skin is susceptible to sunburn if not protected by cloths or sunblock. The AMS is preventable through appropriate trekking pace and undertaking acclimatization.
