Route details

Upon your arrival in Makassar, you will be greeted with meeting services and then transferred directly to Toraja. The journey will take approximately 8 hours, allowing you to enjoy stunning mountain passes and the unique Buginese houses on stilts along the way.

Lunch will be served at Pare-Pare, a charming port located 155 km north of Ujung Pandang. After lunch, you will continue your drive to Toraja, with a stop at Puncak Lakawan (Top Hill) to take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

You will arrive in Tana Toraja in the late afternoon, where you can check in at your hotel.

Me and my mother booked a 3- day tour near Toraja. The price was fair. The tour was complete and we managed to see a funeral!! We learned a lot about the local culture. We spent really great time there and never got bored! We are very happy and I highly recommend Konstantin.

Konstantinus was an excellent guide! We visited several places and learned a lot about the local culture. The absolute highlight was a funeral ceremony, where he explained everything in details about it. He also gave us certain tips what interesting places we can go to without him. All in all a fantastisch experience! Thank you very much!
