Morning light here doesn’t rush — it settles over lakes, slips through pine trees, and lingers in the stillness of the forest. You arrive in Syöte, where the quiet beauty of the landscape touches something deep inside you — from birds in the trees to water moving somewhere out of sight.
Over the next days, you explore Syöte National Park and the Kuusamo region in different ways. You ride a 20 km fat-bike route along sandy ridges and through old pine forests, stopping for a lakeside picnic. You hike to places like Annintupa and Teerivaara, learning about the land while walking through quiet forest paths and up to open views over wetlands and lakes. On the Rytivaara trail, the landscape reflects old farming traditions. Then comes an evening in Kuusamo, waiting in silence for brown bears. The final day slows the pace — canoeing across calm water, followed by a traditional sauna by the lake.
Everything is organised so you can stay focused on the experience — transport, guides, equipment, and meals are all taken care of. Each evening ends with a warm sauna, simple food, and a place to rest. If you want to experience this part of Finland in a real, grounded way, come and follow the route!
