Route details

Morning:
Your adventure begins with a pickup from the airport around 09:00. From there, we will embark on a scenic drive to the Danakil Depression, passing through the charming town of Berhale. This journey will take approximately three to four hours, during which you can enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the region. We will make a stop for lunch en route, allowing you to refuel for the exciting explorations ahead.

Afternoon:
Upon arrival in the Danakil Depression, we will dive into the stunning natural wonders of Dallol. Here, you will be captivated by the colorful hydrothermal fields, vibrant acid pools, and unique salt canyons that create an otherworldly atmosphere. Next, we will visit Lake Asale, where you can walk on the vast salt flats and observe salt miners diligently at work, providing a fascinating glimpse into local life.

Evening:
As the day comes to a close, prepare to witness a breathtaking sunset over the salt desert, painting the sky with vibrant hues. After this enchanting experience, we will set up for an overnight camping adventure in Hamed Ela.
