Route details

Day 1
Peak, Pass and Springs

Meet in the morning at Gyergo Nunnery, where we will gather for a brief orientation and prepare for our adventure ahead.

We will then hike up over Griffon Pass, which stands at an impressive 4800 meters, taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape as we make our way down to Zhakra Hot Springs, nestled at the base of the high peak.

Once we arrive at the hot springs, we will set up camp and stay the first night in tents there, allowing us to relax and rejuvenate after a day of hiking while enjoying the soothing warmth of the natural springs under the starlit sky.
