Juncal Andean Park is a 13,796-hectare ecological reserve founded in 1911 by the Kenrick family, located in the Juncal Valley, two hours north of Santiago. This private property preserves a pristine Andean ecosystem and features unique natural beauty. In May 2010, it was designated as a “RAMSAR Wetland of International Importance,” one of 12 sites in Chile. Wetlands are vital for life, especially in harsh environments like Juncal.

From the park entrance, we'll hike into the valley along a gentle trail beside the river. This trail leads to a large wetland, a year-round oasis full of life. After crossing the "Monos de Agua" river, we'll prepare for the final section of the trail, which becomes steeper and less defined as we approach the largest glacier of Central Chile.
