While working at a hotel on Santiago Island, I noticed that many guests sought unique local experiences. With over a decade in event planning, I began introducing clients to my family and my mother’s traditional Cuscuz. This simple idea led to the co-founding of our travel company, now a leader in custom holidays and tours in Cape Verde. We aim to provide exceptional experiences with a focus on social and environmental responsibility, fostering rural tourism and supporting local economies.

Route details

The day starts with a pickup from your accommodation in Praia, followed by a trip inland to the traditional Assomada Market.

You'll drive through the mountains to the Serra Malagueta Natural Park, where your hiking adventure begins. Ascend to an altitude of 850 meters above sea level as you trek through fertile areas, guided by your expert. Explore the park's lush landscapes, which cover 774 hectares and host over 124 plant species and 19 bird species. Marvel at the stunning views of the surrounding mountains while your guide provides insights into the unique local flora and fauna found exclusively in the park. After completing the hike, you'll return to your starting point where a vehicle will be ready for you.

Next, you'll head to Tarrafal Beach for a pleasant transfer. This is Santiago Island's most picturesque beach, framed by white sand, hills, and palm trees. Enjoy swimming and relaxing on the beach before taking a break for a delicious lunch in one of Cape Verde's most scenic locations.

At the end of this memorable day, unwind on the return trip to Praia in the late afternoon.
