Today, we leave behind the city's chaos and take a ferry across the river, heading north towards Phnom Penh and the Silk Islands.

Once we reach the island, we'll cycle through orchards and vegetable farms, soaking in the serene agricultural landscape and learning about the lives of the residents of the Silk Islands.

As we ride, we'll stop at various locations to park our bikes and discover fascinating cultural sites, including traditional village industries, allowing us to gain a deeper insight into the authentic and distinctive Cambodian lifestyle found on these islands. We'll delve into Cambodia's silk weaving heritage, wander through tranquil villages, and enjoy stunning views of the Mekong River.

After having lunch in the town, we'll continue our journey to explore the remarkable historical landmarks in Phnom Penh. We'll uncover the highlights of its complex history, from the grand Royal Palace to the captivating Silver Pagoda. We'll also gain insight into Cambodia's past by visiting significant sites such as the Genocide Museum and Killing Fields, which serve as poignant reminders of the country's darker chapters.

This morning, we will set off early in a private vehicle for Kratie, which is about a six-hour journey. Along the way, we'll pass through Skuon, a small town known for its delicious tarantulas, where you can try this unique snack.

Continuing to the riverside town of Kratie, located along the Mekong River, you'll take a local boat from the waterfront to Koh Trong, where you'll experience a homestay with around 280 families. This is a fantastic chance to observe daily life in Cambodia.

In the evening, you'll enjoy a traditional Khmer dinner. The accommodations are basic and shared, with mattresses, bedding, and mosquito nets provided. With hammocks set up under the house, it's a picturesque spot to relax.

Today, we bid farewell to our island hosts and head back to the mainland. Our next destination is the Kampi River Pools in northern Kratie, where we can observe the rare Irrawaddy Dolphins that inhabit the Mekong River and its nearby regions. Only about 90 of these endangered dolphins reside in this specific section of the Mekong.

During a guided boat tour, you'll have the opportunity to spot some elusive birds that are hard to find elsewhere. It's a fantastic chance to connect with nature and experience something truly special.

Afterward, we'll enjoy lunch in the charming town of Kratie before continuing our journey upstream to the larger town of Stung Treng. This remarkable location lies at the meeting point of three major rivers - the Sekong, Sesan, and Mekong - and provides breathtaking views of the waters from its elevated position.

Today, we begin our day early to fully enjoy a packed schedule of activities. It takes about 2 hours to travel by private vehicle to the village of Voeun Kham. From there, we’ll take a local boat to navigate the Mekong River and visit the renowned Sopheak Mitt Waterfall. Located on the border between Cambodia and Laos, the powerful waterfalls cascading over limestone cliffs and boulders create a stunning spectacle. We’ll dock the boat at a local family's home and hike through the jungle to a lunch spot that offers a view of the falls.

After lunch, we’ll set off on a kayaking adventure through the beautiful scenery of flooded forests, making our way to Vuen Sien village. Enjoy the tranquility of paddling through calm waters while soaking in the breathtaking views along the way. This experience promises to be unforgettable, showcasing nature's unique and captivating beauty.

This morning, embark on your journey to Siem Reap, traveling by private vehicle through the picturesque countryside and quaint towns of Cambodia (approximately 4.5 hours). Along the way, make a stop at Beng Mealea, an impressive hidden jungle temple built by King Suryavarman II (1113-1150). This temple predates Angkor Wat and may have served as an early model for it. Unlike Angkor Wat, however, it features few carvings or bas-reliefs. Today, the temple is largely engulfed by vegetation, and its stone walls are in a state of decay.

Continuing on to Siem Reap, this remarkable destination is the most sought-after stop for travelers throughout Cambodia, especially those exploring Southeast Asia. It offers a captivating blend of culture, history, ancient temples, and stunning natural beauty that enchants visitors and encourages them to return time and again. With a wealth of attractions and activities to discover, it's easy to see why Siem Reap is considered one of the top destinations in all of Cambodia.

This morning, set off early in a private air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel to Kulen Mountain, located 50 km north of Siem Reap.

Upon arrival, we will hike up the mountain slope to visit the natural spring believed to be from the Buddha’s foot and take in the stunning panoramic views. We will then continue our trek through the dense forest to admire the beautiful Kulen Mountain waterfall. Following this, we will explore the Hindu carvings on the riverbed of Kulen, a site regarded as sacred by many Khmer people.

After a refreshing swim and a light meal, we will proceed along scenic undulating single tracks primarily made up of walking trails, guided by a ranger from the National Park. Our hike will take us through the jungle, past remote villages, where we will encounter life-sized stone elephants at Srah Damrei. We will also visit Cambodia’s largest reclining Buddha before concluding our adventure at the 20-meter high Kulen Waterfall, where you can enjoy another invigorating swim before we head back to town.

Today, we will take a brief transfer to Angkor Wat to catch the sunrise. Your guide will lead you to the prime locations for witnessing the vibrant colors of dawn. Following that, you'll explore the central complex of Angkor and learn about the history and significance of Angkor Wat.

After discovering Angkor Wat, enjoy breakfast in a serene setting just outside the temple grounds. Then, go on a bike tour along the paths behind Angkor Park, passing through small villages and observing the daily lives of the locals.

As you continue your exploration of the Angkor Archaeological Park, you will uncover numerous other sites, including Angkor Thom, Bayon, Ta Prohm temple, and many lesser-known temples hidden within the jungle trails. These concealed treasures are rich in history and can only be fully appreciated by straying from the usual paths.

This morning, we are excited to begin our bicycle tour at 9:00 am, exploring the beautiful Tonle Sap Trail and its distinctive views of life in the floating village. Throughout the journey, your experienced guide will lead you to local farms and involve you in various activities that deepen your understanding of the daily lives of Cambodian villagers. You’ll gain insights into their culture, history, and traditions, making it a truly memorable experience.

Following the bike tour, enjoy a brief cruise to Kampong Phluk, where you can observe the floating villages and learn about life on the water. Tonle Sap Lake, the largest lake in Southeast Asia, offers a unique lifestyle for its residents and is recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

To conclude the day, we will watch the sunset over the lake while enjoying some snacks and cold drinks. You’ll then return to the city by private vehicle in the late evening.
