Snow transforms the Salzkammergut into a different world—mountains softened by white silence, frozen lakes shimmering like glass, and paths where every step leaves its mark on untouched snow. This journey leads you right into that stillness, where time slows down and the landscape feels endless.
From your base in Bad Goisern, you’ll climb by cable car to the vast Dachstein plateau, wander across the karst with sweeping views to glacier peaks, and trace forested trails up to the Goisererhütte and High Kalmberg. Days unfold between snowshoe hikes to hidden chapels, alpine pastures, and panoramic ridges, while evenings invite rest in small spa towns. Halfway through, you pause in Bad Ischl, once the retreat of emperors, to soak in warm thermal waters before continuing to Ebensee and the serene plateau of Feuerkogel.
With luggage transfers arranged and city-to-mountain transport included, you move freely from one valley to the next, carrying only what you need for the day. Snowshoes open the way to places unreachable in winter by any other means—quiet summits, frozen forests, and lake horizons waiting to be discovered. Join our tour and step into the Salzkammergut in its most magical season and let the snow guide your adventure!
