From the shimmering Gosau Lakes with their world-famous glacier view to alpine meadows where cows graze beneath the Donnerkogel, every stage is a dialogue between you and the mountains. You’ll follow sections of the legendary Austriaweg, rest at rustic huts perched on ridgelines, taste fresh butter and cheese at traditional alpine farms, and gaze at the striking double summit of the Bischofsmütze. Each night brings the warmth of a mountain hut and the promise of a new horizon in the morning.

Your luggage is transferred where possible, leaving you free to carry just what you need for each stage. With carefully chosen overnight stays in authentic alpine huts and cozy valley accommodations, this tour is designed for both adventure and comfort. Route details

Welcome to Gosau am Dachstein, one of the most spectacular valleys in the Northern Alps. At its end, the shimmering Gosau Lakes reflect the jagged Dachstein peaks – the famous Gosauseeblick. Since 1997, this breathtaking region has held UNESCO World Heritage status. Upon arrival at your accommodation, you’ll receive your detailed travel documents.

Due to their location, not all huts can offer running water, hot water or showers. In some cases there is also no flushing system in the toilets.On most huts, card payment is not possible. Take enough cash with you for food and drinks.
