The mountains around Schladming rise like a living amphitheater, where glaciers, limestone cliffs, waterfalls, and green valleys come together in a breathtaking performance of nature. This is a place where every trail feels like an invitation to step deeper into alpine life, where silence carries as much meaning as the rushing waters of the canyons.
Your journey begins gently, with the roar of the Talbach canyon setting the rhythm, then expands into high pastures, sparkling lakes, and sweeping panoramas of the Dachstein massif. Marmots greet you on sunny meadows, while waterfalls tumble down the wild rock walls of the Schladminger Tauern. One day you circle alpine plateaus dotted with grazing sheep, the next you stand on the edge of a glacier, the world opening beneath you from a glass platform suspended high above the valley.
You’ll travel on foot and by cable car, with comfortable hotels and alpine lodges welcoming you along the way. Each stage offers a new perspective: on nature, on history, and on yourself. Join this adventure and discover how varied and powerful hiking in the Dachstein can be—whether through water-filled valleys, across alpine pastures, or into the icy brilliance of the glacier!
