The Dachstein massif rises like a guardian above the Salzkammergut, its glaciers having carved valleys and shimmering lakes for thousands of years. To walk here is to trace both natural history and the stories of mountaineering pioneers who first scaled its peaks.

Begin your journey in the Schladming–Ramsau region, where the Dachstein Sommercard opens doors to cable cars, hiking buses, spas, and attractions. From there, the adventure unfolds with varied alpine stages: along high ridges and valleys, across the limestone expanse of the “Am Stein” plateau, and through the mysterious Notgasse gorge with rock carvings more than two millennia old. Depending on conditions, you may choose to ascend the Dachstein Glacier by gondola or follow valley trails steeped in alpine charm.

Evenings bring the comfort of mountain huts and panorama hotels, with luggage transfers ensuring you hike unburdened except for your overnight essentials at the Guttenberghaus. Each day mixes culture, geology, and breathtaking landscapes, making this circuit a complete alpine experience. Join our tour and step into the Dachstein world and let the mountains shape unforgettable days!
