Day 1
Transfer to Penitentes Village and Trek to the Base Camp

8:30 AM – We’ll pick you up from your hotel, ensuring a convenient and comfortable start to your journey.

Enjoy a 2.5-hour drive through breathtaking landscapes as we ascend to 2800m (9190 ft), the perfect introduction to the majestic Andes.

Trek to Base Camp through Quebrada de Vargas:
Get ready for a 6-7 hour hike through the stunning Quebrada de Vargas. This scenic route leads us to Base Camp at 3212m (10541 ft), with a gradual elevation gain of 411m (1351 ft). Along the way, marvel at the dramatic mountain views, serene valleys, and vibrant natural surroundings.

Activities at Base Camp:
After arriving, immerse yourself in the tranquility of the Andes. Help set up camp, enjoy a hearty dinner under the stars, and unwind in the crisp mountain air.

Overnight Stay:
Rest comfortably at Base Camp, surrounded by the serenity of the mountains, and prepare for more adventures to come.
