For those seeking a pristine, less-traveled path, our Ameghino Valley Route remains a breathtaking choice. However, if you prefer a shorter approach to Base Camp, the Normal Route might be your ideal adventure. This route includes mule-supported transport to Base Camp, just like the Ameghino Valley/Polish Glacier option, and the added convenience of hiring porters to assist with loads from Base Camp to High Camp.

While the Normal Route is busier, it offers a unique social experience where you can connect with climbers from around the world. If you don’t mind sharing the trail and enjoy the energy of a lively Base Camp, this is a fantastic way to experience Aconcagua!

To make your ascent easier, porter services are available on all our routes. You can significantly reduce your pack weight—avoiding the strain of carrying 45–50 lbs.

Enjoy the climb, embrace the adventure, and tailor your journey for the best possible experience on South America’s highest peak!

Tour provider's comments

Aconcagua is a big mountain period. If you have climb Kilimanjaro before and you did well on it Aconcagua can be your next step.

Fairly fit people that never climb a mountain before can successfully climb Aconcagua as well. It is ideal to have some precious experience.

Crampons and ice axe experience is not needed, although this equipment is required.
