Route details

Day 1
Adventure Begins

This challenging but rewarding trek starting from the scenic town of Sapa, as you journey through the lush terraced rice paddies and mist-covered valleys. The trek takes you through the picturesque villages of Sa Seng, renowned for its traditional H'mong architecture and vibrant local culture. From there, ascend towards the legendary Dragon Mountain, a striking natural formation offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Continue your hike to the serene Hang Da village, known for its peaceful atmosphere and authentic rural lifestyle, or opt to visit Loa Chai village, famous for its unique cultural traditions and handcrafted textiles.

Along the way, enjoy a well-deserved lunch either at Hang Da or Loa Chai, where you can sample local delicacies and interact with friendly villagers. After refueling, the trek proceeds southward to the tranquil Ta Van village, nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes and home to the Dzay ethnic minority. Here, you will settle into a cozy homestay, experiencing authentic local hospitality and immersing yourself in rural Vietnamese life.

The entire journey covers approximately 15 to 16 kilometers and spans an estimated 7 to 9 hours, depending on your pace and stops.
