How far can two wheels take you across Sri Lanka? This route starts in Kandy and climbs into the Hill Country, where tea plantations, mountain roads and national parks gradually give way to waterfalls, wildlife country and the southern coast.
Cycle through tea country towards Nuwara Eliya, combine riding with a scenic train journey to Nanu Oya, and explore Horton Plains before taking on the long ride to Ella. From there, the route continues towards Yala and Udawalawe, with wildlife safaris along the way, before finishing near the sea in Galle. There is also time for a Sri Lankan cooking experience, tea tasting and local city visits.
Hybrid bikes, helmets, an English-speaking guide and a support vehicle with mechanic-trained staff are provided throughout. Daily distances can be adjusted with shorter or longer riding options. Join this cycling journey and cross Sri Lanka from cool highlands to the southern coast at your own pace!
