Granite ridges rise quietly above the wide Mongolian steppe, just beyond the edge of Ulaanbaatar. Bogd Khan Mountain feels both close and ancient — a protected land of forests, wildlife, and sacred peaks watched over for centuries.
This full-day hike begins with a drive to Manzushir Monastery, founded in 1733. From there, you trek 14 km through pine and birch forests toward Tsetseegun Peak (2,256 m). Along the way, you pass granite boulders, open valleys, and sweeping views from the summit. Wildlife such as fox, hare, eagle, and deer live in these mountains.
With hotel pickup, private transfer, and time to explore at your own pace, this is a day of real movement and open air. Step beyond the city and walk Mongolia’s oldest national park!
