Remote Wonders of Kyrgyzstan

On the initial day of our hike, we will trek along the shoreline of Lake Kara Suu for 8 kilometers.

After that, we'll take a route that parallels the stream, where we'll stop for a picnic break.

In the afternoon, we will proceed towards Lake Kapka Tash, which we will also pass by before arriving at our camping spot, situated close to the camps of Kyrgyz nomads.

The trekking day starts with a hike into the valley, leading up to the base of the pass, which takes around 3 hours to ascend.

Following a picnic, the journey proceeds as you cross the Belmonchok pass, reaching an elevation of 3186 meters above sea level. From this peak, you'll be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the valleys on either side of the mountain. The descent takes you toward the Otuz Art valley, known for its cliffs and red sandy terrain. This area is also frequented by beekeepers, so you might encounter them along the route.

You'll set up camp near the river.

This day is set to be especially intriguing. As you hike, you'll find yourself climbing hills and trekking small passes before making your way back down. This is why the valley is referred to as Otuz Art, meaning "Thirty Passes." Throughout your journey, you'll be surrounded by stunning red rock formations that will accompany you all day long.

Along the route, you'll have the chance to meet local shepherds and beekeepers tending to wild beehives, and you'll even get to sample fresh honey straight from these hives.

The evening will wrap up with dinner and a night spent in the comfort of your tented camp, situated near a tranquil river.

We proceed through the valley until we arrive at the point where the rivers meet, and the trail ascends toward the pass. After crossing this pass, you'll find the village of Kyzyl Unkur. You'll walk this village along an asphalt road for approximately 1 kilometer.

Next, you'll cross the river via a bridge and start a new ascent through the walnut forest to a location known as Dashman.

The night will be spent camping in the heart of the forest.

A trek lasting about 3 hours will lead you to your destination, the village of Gumkhana. Along the way, you'll trek the world's largest walnut forest, providing a truly unique experience. Upon reaching Gumkhana, you'll reunite with your vehicle and driver, signifying the conclusion of your hike. You'll bid farewell to your dedicated local guides.

Following this, a brief drive will take you to a delightful family-run guesthouse, where you'll spend the night and savor a delicious dinner in a cozy setting.
