The Tour of Ambin, also known as the Susa Valley Ring Trek, is a spectacular hiking route crossing the Italian and French Alps, looping around the wild and rugged Ambin Massif.
This itinerary is designed for hikers who love remote alpine landscapes, historical landmarks, and varied terrain—from glacial valleys and high meadows to rocky passes and serene mountain lakes.
The trail follows a natural ring connecting a network of mountain refuges and unguarded huts, so you can hike light while still spending each night deep in nature. Wildlife encounters are frequent: ibex, marmots, chamois, and golden eagles are common sights along the route.
This trek blends adventure, culture, and history in equal measure, unfolding in one of the most scenic and symbolic valleys of the Alps — the Susa Valley, which for centuries has been the link between France and Italy.
