The Dolomites Alta Via 2 is a 6-day high-altitude adventure across the Western Dolomites, one of Italy’s most breathtaking long-distance routes. This challenging trail (difficulty 4/5) stretches between 2,000–3,000 meters, winding past towering peaks over 3,000m, through unique geological landscapes, and across vibrant alpine meadows.
Starting in Val di Funes, homeland of Reinhold Messner, the route passes through legendary groups like Odle, Puez, and Sella, with the chance to climb the iconic Piz Boè (3,152m). Along the way, hikers enjoy ever-changing views, encounters with chamois and marmots, and overnights in authentic mountain refuges. Designed for experienced and fit hikers, this trail offers a perfect mix of effort, beauty, and wild alpine spirit — a journey deep into the heart of the Dolomites.
