The first stage of your trip will take you to discover the Capital city, Quito (UNESCO listed) located at an altitude of 2800m/9130ft. Then you will head southbound, and embark on your challenging trek days.Â
In the company of your guide (and a local guide), you will discover the charming Quilotoa region and the imposing Cotopaxi Volcano (in the Cotopaxi national Park). Get ready for a challenging adventure in the middle of the Volcanoes Alley!

Route details
Upon your arrival in Quito International Airport -after personally arranging to collect your luggage- your driver will meet you at the exit hall of the airport with sing and name.
Transfer takes about 1-hour, which is the necessary time to get to your hotel located in the very heart of the Ecuadorian capital, the historic centre.
During this journey, at first sight, you will pass through the valleys and the modern part of Quito; then the city will reveal itself with its irregular geography and colourful neighbourhoods that conquer the steep slopes of the Pichincha volcano.
Your host/guide will provide an exhaustive explanation and an passionate introduction of Ecuador along the way. He/she will also clear up any doubts you might have about your program, do not hesitate to ask any question you might have.

- Andes Highlands:Â
* English-speaking Trekking guide (Days 1 - 8): for groups of 1 to 3 people you will be with your guide/driver for groups of 4+ people you will be accompanied by your guide + your Spanish-speaking professional driver. Your driver will speak basic English allowing to communicate the essentials.
* Spanish-speaking local guide (on days 3-7): For groups of 4+ , during the treks, you will be also accompanied by local guides (people from the communities) have the local expertise and know the trails like the back of their hand!
