The expedition takes place at the majestic Cotopaxi Volcano and the untouched Antisana Reserve. Known as the “Condor Trek,” the itinerary includes a traverse from the Antisana volcano to Cotopaxi.

While it presents challenges, this captivating adventure is incredibly fulfilling and allows for a deep connection with nature. You’ll have the opportunity to stay in refuges, hotels, or camp in remote locations, all while enjoying views of Cotopaxi, the highest active volcano in the world. Overall, the expedition is truly breathtaking!

Welcome to Antisana

Either from Quito’s airport or downtown, you will embark on a journey to the charming village of Papallacta, where your exciting adventure will truly begin. As you travel through the picturesque landscapes, take a moment to soak in the breathtaking views that surround you.

Welcome to Antisana Reserve, a place where nature’s beauty and diverse wildlife await your exploration.

Required level
– Physical: this trekking tour requires good physical condition. There will be fairly long walks (up to 7 hours). We recommend that travelers wishing to take part in this trekking trip take a stress test before their arrival. This will limit the risks during physical exertion at altitudes around 4.000m/13.000ft (in particular preventing coronary and vascular problems).

– Technical: no technical level is necessary. You will not have climbing or ice climbing. We recommend trekking poles and good walking shoes.
