This tour is perfect for those wanting to blend Buddhist culture with mountain biking in the Cambodian countryside. We ride along flat dirt trails, visiting local villages on Mekong Island, Khmer pottery communities, and Battambang province to immerse ourselves in local life. We also explore a city with French colonial architecture and take a boat trip from Battambang to Siem Reap, where we discover floating villages and farmland on Tonle Sap Lake. Cycling on lesser-known paths, we visit Angkor Wat and Banteay Srei temples, as well as Kbal Spean, the Thousand Lingas River site. Starting in Phnom Penh, we set off on our bikes through scenic backroads and village trails, culminating in a leisurely mountain biking holiday that showcases the best of Cambodia.

Route details
We provided hotel pick up that starts from 7:30am then drove to our bike shop located on the Mekong Island which takes around 1 hour including crossing the river by ferry and upon the group size.
Upon the arrival, we choose the bike to fit with our size, wear a helmet and our guide will have a brief about the trip included on how to use our bicycle, riding side and test a ride a little bit before we start. We begin our mountain biking through the silk island where we will explore different crops of farmland such as banana, mango plantation, numerous vegetable farms, local villages and learn about the silk weaving process when we visit their weaving community.
Then, we took a next ride to see the bean curd factory and learn how they make it from the soybean. Continuously, we take another ferry headed to Tonle Sap River where you’ll encounter experience with the Khmer community, muslim community, paddy rice fields, lotus farms, fishing community, and silversmith community before having lunch at Oudong mount. Oudong was a former royal capital of Cambodia from the 17th to the 19th centuries. A refreshing and stunning view from the top of Oudong mount is the ideal way to end our first day, before we transfer to our overnight stay at Kampong Chhnang town.
