Route details

Day 1
Fly to Paro (2,300 Meters/Feet) and Thimphu (2334 Meters/Feet)

Catch a flight from Kathmandu towards Bhutan, which usually takes around an hour or so with spectacular views of mountains and valleys.

Once you arrive at Paro, you’ll meet up with your Bhutanese guide who will accompany you throughout the journey. A short, picturesque drive of about 2 hours along the valley brings you to the capital of Bhutan, Thimphu. After lunch at a local restaurant, start your sightseeing with a visit to the Textile Museum, a traditional paper-making factory, and the post office to see Bhutan’s beautiful stamps which also depict the country’s myths, traditions, and culture.

Alternatively, you can choose other sightseeing locations and attractions around or stroll with your guide.

Overnight at Thimphu.
